Looks like trim......

.....now it's a drawer! Tah dah!

My customized, ergonomic brushes. Good for tendonitis! I'm cured!

My little studio home is a place where I am free to express my beliefs.

My heartfelt belief that we are ALL equal. And, that dogs rule! That picture of the Bassett Hound with a bone hanging, just out of reach, is a card that says, "Wish we were closer." I love these cards by Avanti. (And I love cats too, and horses and cows, and mice and.....)

I wish I'd bought two of these lamps! I got it at some dumb big box store. I did go back to find a second one, but no luck. This lamp has two bulbs. One is for the task light that is very adjustable - the part with the arm. The other is on top - for ambient light. It's the best work lamp that I've ever had.

Little creatures that live under my interesting lamp.

My soap collection. Mostly Italian, but some French. There is a store near me that had such a deal on these! I'd find a new one every week or so. The Italian ones come from Florence. I've been to Florence, but only for one day. Such a tease! So, these are a lovely reminder of that beautiful city. They feel like an extension of my time there. I may actually use some of them someday. We'll see.....In the meantime, I open a box every once in a while - the fragrance is amazing! Subtle and exquisite. Aroma therapy and nostalgia.

These things are so beautiful, I thought they deserved their own close-up.

Gaaawd, I love books! All kinds of books! I'll bet you never would have guessed.

I like having an open picture book next to me when I'm working. Sometimes it's for reference, but more often than not, I just like looking at them. Sometimes I turn a page a day - an image a day to savor.

Studio companions...day and night. You'll see --- below.

Paints in drawers - lots of drawers, lots more paints, lots of other supplies in more drawers - you get the idea.

When I'm painting, this old, beat up little thing on wheels gets rolled up near my drafting table. It's handy.

This piece of furniture started out to be a computer table, but somehow it didn't work out that way.

The bowl of spaghetti that keeps everything working.

My room may be small and cluttered. Freelancing and working at home may be a mixed blessing. BUT, I get to be employee of the month every month! Life is good!

Here's a sneak peak at my summer art for the Picture Book Artist's Association (PBAA) Summer Edition. New art is featured four times per year on the PBAA website.
