"The Toy Roadtrip." I may still tweak a few things on this one, but it's getting late for IF, so I think I'll post now and tweak later. This is all digital, btw. My third digital piece.
Digital pastel? Very nice. I agree with Patrick, the palette is lovely. And that is before they mandated a seatbelt for each toy, and boosters for the smaller ones, isn't it. :)
I have memories of getting rides home in the back of a pickup truck like that when the schoolbus broke down on the way home. :)
Thanks Fizzy! I was thinking more of Fisher Price Little People, but should be just a generic little toy guy. I'll have to see what he looks like when he gets out of the truck! lol!
Thanks so much Leanne. Just photoshop painting with a regular brush - with texture added both on the underpainting and added to the brush. But if it looks like pastel, that's fine by me. So long as it doesn't look too digital.
Yes, this is not exactly PC, is it? May be the kiss of death, but ..... ah well.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Yes, I had to say that three times for effect cuz that's exactly how I felt when I looked at this piece! I love everything about this! The texture, the composition, the characters, the palette!! I WANT that truck!!!
Really well done, Marion! This should be your next mailer or promo for sure!
Marion, this is just the coolest! I'd have to agree with all the comments above, especially that you're working this digitally, with much success! Love your trademark rich colors, all of these cute characters, and the old blue truck! I would totally love bombing down the road like this! Hope you have a wonderful Easter! :o)
Wow! Thank you Mike, Ginger, Diane, Elizabeth, Janet, Roberta, Phyllis, Paula and Michele. How lucky am I ? Such lovely comments! Janet, I love the warm vibe thing, the comments about color make me extra happy, and I would LOVE to ride have this truck to ride around in too. Thank you all for stopping by with such kind words!
p.s. Diane, look at it this way - the dog got left at home! (Maybe I should do one of the dog on a motorcycle - leading the way, of course.) The cat will have her day - I hope!
