This is a possible character for a possible story about my character Pierrot. I created Pierrot awhile back and have a few storylines in mind for him. You can see Pierrot below. This new drawing (above) was also a chance to explore what the landscape and architecture might look like in Pierrot's story.
Pierrot is an acrobat, so when the prompt 'Acrobat' came along on Illustration Friday, it was time for Pierrot to make his debut. The piece below is Pierrot's first public performance.

Yay for Pierrot! I love his expressions.
The "duet" sketch has a carefree, friendly and intriguing quality. Hope to see more as you develop this! :o)
Marion,
Just stumbled across your blog and your work is wonderful! Love the movement, color, humor, everything about your work is joyful. But besides loving your work and spirit, thank you for your "Photoshop sharing" tips especially Will's tutorial info. My lovely husband just gave me a Wacom Cintiq 12"—I kept threatening to try one, but couldn't find anywhere to try it, so he took the leap and gave me one. I'm still not convinced that it can replace traditional mediums but your testimony and Will's video clip are rather convincing.... I use photo to clean things up, but like you, I know the tiniest, teeniest tip of that 'berg so I will be purchasing Will's tutorial. I'll also be following your amazing work on your wonderful blog. Thank you! Penny
Thank you SO much Amanda, Michele and Penelope! Love what you said, Amanda! Michele, I always value what you have to say. Special thanks to you! Penelope, I'm blown away by your amazing comments. I'm so glad if you are finding anything helpful in my digital baby steps. And you are right, Will's series is the way to go! What a sweet husband you have! I've seen your work though and I can certainly understand why he'd know that your work is worth the investment! Still, it's no small purchase, so I'm hoping you are enjoying it. I should tell you, the color piece that I did of Pierrot (Acrobat) was not done digitally -that's one of my old techniques - acrylic and colored pencil. It's pretty labor intensive, so I'm hoping that going digital will help me speed up. It's not happening yet, but I can see that eventually it will. Thanks again for such lovely comments!
What wonderful work! love it! Great detail! :D
Thank you, Ann!
Marion - Pierrot is delightful! I look forward to seeing more of him. I am so enjoying your new work. I love the playful shapes and the interesting narratives. Keep em coming!!
Thanks so much Ann Marie! I'm so glad if you like Pierrot! I'm having fun and have some future adventures in mind.
