The pencil shelf ends here. (Way up top.) This is the area that Paul calls...... the cockpit! Hi, Arianna!

That does indeed look like a lovely, lovely space. Love the pencil shelf (do you have a hard time reaching them though?)

Hi, Tara! Thank you! No, I can reach them, but I'm very tall.(close to 6 feet) The only time I have a problem is when I pile stuff in front of the cabinets underneath the shelves. Then, I need to move things out of the way. I have a small step stool in this room, believe it or not. But, I don't need it for the pencils. I used to have the pencils on a deep bookshelf and I constantly had to shuffle them around. This way I can see them all. They are organized by brand and color. So, I can find any pencil I want in seconds.

I love the colored pencils in jars up above - what a great use of the space and a great decoration too!

How wonderful and a great way to use space. You can see what you have.

Thanks for the studio tour Marion. I am just about to start a renovation on my studio in the Himalayas. I like the idea of the pencil shelf. I also like the cockpit. Once I sit down I don't like to move around too much.

That's awesome!! I'd never be able to reach, though, being just over 5'!
